Dry seasons,water scarcity in gwallameji

Demand for water is intensely increasing day by day in Gwallameji both in dry season and raining seasons as the importance of water towards humanity can not be overemphasized for water is life.

Constant rise in population within Gwallameji axesis is alarming which results to the high amount of water usage and consumption, the residence undergoes series of water scarcity during dry season, due to this reason, they engage in using available and unhygienic water from rivers and open wells which affect their health. For it is said that "Health is Wealth".

However the residence also faces low water challenge during raining seasons where each households gathered water when raining and even dry Wells and rivers bring forth enough water for the consumption of both human, animals and plants. Raining season is estimated for the duration of four months from July to October while dry season is not left far behind, estimating from November to June.

Considering the high amount of heat caused by dry season, rivers became dry and well water becomes drained which make the quest for water to be high for both human and animal consumption.  nevertheless with the help of boreholes implanted in Gwallameji axesis good water accessibility is on the run.

In my opinion, dry season is natural and unavoidable, but it can be controlled and managed, by implanting boreholes in key area's within the community and installing pipe borne water in every households within Gwallameji axesis, by so doing the scarcity of water will be eliminated for good and the consumption of unhygienic water will be reduced and it's thus limit the spread of deases contacted through unhygienic water.

Moreover the residence of Gwallameji community must take proactive measures in other to sustain and maintain any water supplies in the community and have a watchdog over these resources to avoid being damaged by the underaged or being stolen.

Planting of boreholes and installation of pipe borne water can easily be achieved when Government's and key leaders in Gwallameji community come together and give a listening ear to her public and take their interest at heart,  to see their quest for good water available being put into consideration and make sure all their water related issues is turned into reality, for the betterment and safety of it's people. health wise.

  5. The absence of water is really disturbing. You have to wake up early to get water or go out to other compounds that still have some in their wells
